Problem ---- watered Down !

My uncle told me this story from his own experience, a long time ago.He was a consultant to a beer manufacturing unit. The unit installed a new bottling plant and tried a dry-run. Everything went well except the bottle capping part. Bottle after bottle passed and the machine refused to cap them. After days of checking everything repeatedly, the man in charge sent for him. After taking a good look at the machine and how it operated, he placed a beer bottle filled with water. Promptly the machine capped it. The machine had weight sensors and was designed not to cap empty bottles !

The machine must have been designed in USA, so only weight is checked.

If it had been designed by Germans, even content would have been checked and a beer bottle with water would not be capped. :)

If the machine were designed by a strict teetotaler, the machine would have been designed not to work with any alcoholic drinks !

I am reminded of similar incident. A customer complained to a Cool Drink manufacturer that the free Soap in the soap box was not there when he brought a carton of the said cool drinks. The concerned plant authorities checked their bottling plant where at the finishing end the soap box with soap was getting assembled and after many days os trials and research spending millions of Rupees they could not prevent the now and then occurences of Soap Box being delivered without Soap.
Desperate they threw open to their employees for suitable suggestion to arrest/prevent this from occuring.
One onld experienced hand's suggestion was accepted and implemented and there is no single incidence of that type since then--he suggested a Mancooler at the end of the line where an empty box gets loaded with the soap and goes forward. In case the soap is not put in, the empty soap box used to get blown away!!!!
